Celebrate Mini Goals

Have you ever tried something new or tried doing something that was very challenging for you and instead of celebrating your success, you just brush it off like it isn't a very bug deal? - For me personally, I celebrate myself and give myself a pat on the back every time I refuse to do something or eat something that will detour my progress and results.
My mind is so focused on the end result, but I set these mini goals along the way and when I reach them, I treat myself. When I eat healthy all week I treat myself to a Starbucks - Iced caramel macchiato with light carmel drizzle and lowfat milk or I will have a cheat meal because, lets face it - we are human and have to still have the things we love sometimes right! - Whether you are taking one or two bites from your kids DQ blizzard to have a "taste" yet stay in track - THAT IS A WIN or you may be the person that only has been running around to all of your daughters softball games, but you packed an cooler with your approved foods list and avoided the concession stand all weekend - it takes will power and mindset and those little things add up and you should be proud of them. This mindset thing changes your whole way of looking at food as a whole when you really think about what the average person eats on a regular basis, it is sad really!
If you are quitting smoking - treat yourself after your first week and get your nails done after a month - you deserve it, plus you have saved that much by not smoking all month!
I still have to pinch myself at times because I cannot believe how far I have come in a year - by this time next year, I will be at my goal and have been maintaining for a few months and I absolutely cannot wait!!
