Good Morning, Good Morning!
Happy Monday! It has been awhile, hasn't it!?
I felt the need to get on here and type a blog, in hopes that my readers will see this and share it out, because I feel like it is so important that more people, especially in today's society needs to hear it and think about it! There is so much negativity going on out there in the world, but you have 2 choices! You can either be a part of the problem or a part of the solution! I learned a little over a year ago what the media got paid to do and it is horrible! - It hurts me to be typing this right now as my sister is actually the editor of a magazine and she spent years in high school and then in college perusing her dream. - The difference is, she writes for magazines and articles, she does email edits and newsletters and is a journalist with integrity! Alternative media is more interesting to me anyway, reading an article on where to travel during the winter or the best way to keep your child happy when she is teething, is more up my alley anyway!
Let's take it mainstream! - the reason I am so upset! Mainstream media gets paid to portray an image to the world that will make people upset, want to adjust their ballot vote and even start having different views based on what they see on the news and read in the tabloids. The truth is, most news outlets have a goal to scare the population! They are willing to share riots and looting done across the nation and portray the #blm movement as something that is horrible and should be frowned upon! The truth is, YES - there are some places that rioting and looting has taken place and NO, I do not agree with these actions, however - I do know that there have been thousands of PEACEFUL protests done across the nation and the news is not covering it! The sad truth is that fake news spreads 6 times faster than true news and most of the time, there are photos and videos that seem to be true and they really are not! Let's take this back to the TELEPHONE game that we all played in elementary school! Remember how the first person would start with a phrase and by the time the last person in the classroom said what they heard, it was misconstrued in some way or another? This is the same way with social media! -- The same platforms that we use to share our daily accomplishments and what is happening in our life is also a place where we compare our figure to others, compare our lives to others, secretly message people of the opposite sex, do things that without it we normally would not do. (I am not guilt of this (infadelity), I just have seen many failed marriages and I have compared my life to others based on what I see posted on these sites!)
I strongly urge my readers to THINK TWICE before they click that SHARE button! Go back and find the FACTS of an article, if you read something that ticks you off or makes you feel a certain way, because you NEVER KNOW the truth sometimes until YOU dig for evidence! Stop comparing your life to those that you see online, the majority of the time they are sharing the highlights, not the valleys that they are going through! - this is why I personally go LIVE so much, being on my health and wellness journey, I want to be transparent and I want my followers to know that sometimes you will back slide in life, but you have to make it a point to dust your knees off and GO FOR IT AGAIN because failure only happens when you quit!
Share positivity! Share GOOD news! Share UPLIFTING messages! Just remember, what you see and read and hear and think you become, so let's focus on making a real difference in our life and in this world! There is plenty of negativity, but why not choose to be different?
BE THE LIGHT! ~ Matthew 5:14
