Good Morning, GOOD MORNING!! I was reflecting the past couple of days about the times in my life, especially over the past couple of years that I have done HARD things and have felt like quitting! The crazy thing is, so many people in this world take the EASY WAY OUT and look for shortcuts and do not really dig in and take the time to accomplish amazing things! We live in a world where so many things are instantly gratifying, you have a question - you can ask google! You want a fast and easy snack - you can run to a gas station!
This is not ALWAYS a bad thing! There are pros to being able to have answers super quick or having a snack super quick! The problem is, with the way that society is ran...we are ALWAYS looking for that instantly in life! How to lose weight the fastest, how to make a million dollars overnight, how to make my boyfriend propose to me sooner, etc.
The real problem with all of these thoughts are that they are simply not true! There was a time when people were not trying to "keep up" with social media and please the world, before they truly pleased their self! The point I am trying to make is that being on a weight loss journey takes time, it takes #focus, it takes #dedication, it takes #FAILURE, it takes #mindset! You are not going to become rich overnight, unless you are invested in an amazing stock or have a great aunt Lisa that passes and sends you a fortune or you win the lottery! People really should do less comparing their life to anyone else's and focus on their self. Truth is, if you are really wanting to be engaged, isn't it more of a romantic and amazing memory when you do not have a hand in planning that day? The element of surprise has been lifted and it is not as exciting as it could be, right!? (Let him propose when he feels the time is perfect!)
I am ranting and kind of going nowhere, I get it! My thoughts have been all over this week, but I hope you understand the moral of the story! Be patient! Do not be afraid to FAIL, because that is actually the BIGGEST KEY to success! If you want to make an amazing living for yourself (more than you could image) - it is possible, but will take REAL WORK and TIME, if you want to get married, it will also happen when it is supposed to happen!
Side story: I rushed my engagement, we went to look at engagement rings (AGAIN), for the 3rd time at the outlet store since that is what we have at the newer mall nearby my home! We walk in and look around and there was a ring, it was on sale at a great price and 2 carats! She asked if I wanted to try it on and I said, sure! I thought it was HUGE, but it was beautiful - she said, what do you think? I said, I love it! It is beautiful and I love everything about it, it is heavy, geez! haha - Next thing you know, my fiance said, "we will take it!" - That is my romantic engagement story! Truth is, our life is not like a fairy tail! We both had children before one another and we were both broken and friends who leaned on one another for support to get through some hard days...we never thought we would be a couple and here we are four years later! I did not expect to be proposed to on an exotic island or anything, but my engagement was less than breathtaking because I was so anxious that it was never going to happen and talked about it so much - that it did happen and was less than dreamy!
I could have given up SO MANY TIMES and still could, but instead I keep going! I have learned from my mistakes and short comings! They push myself EVEN HARDER the next time! I know that there are things that are going to take patience and dedication! Time is something that will pass by every day, but learning what I do with my time has made all of the difference! I have a lot less down time these days because my goals are HUGE!
My advice to you:
Be patient! It is WORTH IT, I promise!
STOP RUSHING YOUR LIFE! What is meant to be, will be!
If you REALLY want to achieve something, WORK at it EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Get okay with FAILURE, because it is NECESSARY in order to succeed!
