Thanksgiving Favorites!

Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite #holiday's of the year. I love being able to look around the room at my #family and express what I am the most thankful for in my life. I love #spending time in the #kitchen with my family - #cooking and just #enjoying each others #company.
Thanksgiving is also so very bitter sweet for me because 14 years ago, I was spending #Thanksgiving with my #mother for the last time. I always make sure I cook some of her best recipes in hopes that it will taste just like hers, but it never does. I am not sure if she has that one secret ingredient or if she just made her dishes with extra love. She was an amazing cook: My all time favorite meal that she made was #homemade chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes. - I am not talking soup, I am talking thick and creamy egg noodles and chicken peeled off of the bone, a flavor that will make anyone's taste buds firework. I miss her.
I got an e-mail from my company that gives some great tips on how to indulge on the of the good stuff at #Thanksgiving, while not completely falling off of track! Feel free to read the Thanksgiving Diet Survival Guide - don't focus so much on the calories being consumed though! On your #journey, you have taught yourself how to eat slower, drink water before, put your fork down with eating - just many little tricks that will help you eat less, but you don't have to totally focus on those things to the point that you cannot enjoy your holiday. It is a chance for you to #indulge on your #favorites and #treat yourself for all of your hard work, the next day is a new day and a chance for you to get #backontrack.
