Shake it up - Buttercup!

Shake it up - make a delicious shake from the comfort of your own

home that will keep you on track with your goals!


Here are some tips that will help you be more successful! I like to switch it up and try new recipes because one of the biggest reasons that I have failed on my weight loss journeys in the past is because my food was repetitive and boring - we gotta switch it up!

Helpful hint:

You can use water to make your shakes - I prefer to use 30 calorie unsweetened vanilla almond milk. This gives the shake a totally different flavor than just water.



Switch It Up:


I like to add powdered peanut butter, cinnamon, fresh fruit, global blend juice, spinach, kale, sugar free chocolate chips, fat free sugar free jell-o pudding mixes, cocoa powder, chocolate lean/vanilla lean (we have both), caramel extract, spices of any kind - especially pumpkin pie spice during this time of the year.


ICE: Ice is a way to totally switch your shake up, in a good way! (I actually prefer mine to be mixed up with ice - seems more like a "treat" - I am a huge ice cream girl so this may be why)


If you are not a big fan or spinach or kale - this is a nice time for you to stick some in your shakes to reap the added benefits! Kale is high in Vitamin C, whereas spinach is high in Vitamin A and Vitamin K. - When your shake is blended properly, you will not be able to taste that "green stuff" in your smoothies!


Do you like coffee? Are you a fan of iced coffee drinks? - I have a hint for you! Brew some fresh coffee and fill an ice cube tray with the coffee - let it cool a bit and stick it in the freezer - during the week, you can shake up your recipe by adding a couple coffee cubes to your smoothie!


My 3 Faves:


8 oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1 scoop of our delicious vanilla lean

1 TBSP Sugar Free pudding mix - cheesecake

10-15 Sugar Free choc chips

4-6 ice cubes

BLEND


8 oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1 scoop of our delicious vanilla lean

10 drops caramel extract

3 coffee ice cubes - 2 regular ice cubes

BLEND

1 cap full of our delicious Global Blend fruit juice

1 scoop of our delicious vanilla lean

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

4-5 ice cubes

BLEND
